Psalm 100- This is a psalm of Praise! ” Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
What a beautiful psalm to remind us as born again Christians to give thanks in all things. The unsaved person is driven by circumstances. While the Christian person is yielded unto the Sovereign working of a gracious God, who is very thankful in His very essence. True thankfulness comes from an attitude of graditute- to be humbly grateful instead of grumbly hateful. Unthankfulness has no part in a believers daily life. See a person who is thankful, and you will see a life of peace and joy. The choice is up to you my friend! Enter into his gates with thanksgiving in your hearts and watch your attitude focus on eternal things instead of earthly pleasures. Proverbs 17:22 tells us that, “ A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. ” Giving thanks IS the will of God. Are you willing to walk in God’s will today?
